"JUST SWEDISH METAL" opens at the Tong-In Gallery in Seoul on the 7th September.
Showcasing work by 10 Swedish designer/artists. I have curated and am participating
in this exhibition which will be open until 20th of September. If you find yourself in the

Konsthantverkarnas Jubillee Exhibition, "Signerad" celebrating the cooperatives 60th
birthday opens at the Museum of Architecture in Stockholm. Showing work from all
the current 85 members, the exhibition is open throughout the summer from 22nd
June until 14th August.

A LONG AND A SHORT

In "A Long And A Short" Konsthantverkarnas members have taken to serial production,
either a long series of 60 pieces or a short of 6. With 60 members taking part means
there is a lot to see and amongst all this work can be found Åsa's bonbon dish series.

Åsa will be reprisented when the Swedish National Museum launch their signature
exhibition for 2011 "Skimrande Silver". MADE BY: as a group is also on display with
our "Community Bowl #2" which we gifted to the National Collection in 2010.
"Skimrande Silver" is open throughout 2011 until 9th Arpril 2012.

NEW JOB AT KONSTHANTVERKARNA

Åsa starts her new position as Curator of Konsthantverkarna on the 1st January next
year. Konsthantverkarna is Sweden's oldest and largest crafts co-operative and will be
celebrating their 60 year anniversary in 2011. Åsa will be joining Peppe Bergström in
turning 2011 from an anniversay into a celebration of one of the most important
institutions in Swedish crafts history.

LECTURE AT THE MUSEUM

Åsa will be conducting an open lecturer at the Museum of Architecture in Stockholm
on Tuesday 12th October . Together with colleague Hedvig Westermark, Åsa will be
presenting an introduction to modern Swedish art jewelry and it's increasingly
international status. The lecture begins at 18:00.

NATIONAL MUSEUM ACQUIRES CB#2

MADE BY:s Community Bowl #2 project officially came to a close this week as CB#2
was placed on display at the National Museum in Stockholm. CB#2 was acquired by
the National Museum in the form of a donation from MADE BY: closing the circle
between the makers and the owners and from now on can be viewed on the first
floor in the first room to the right.

of 4 of Swedens leading jewellery artists, curated by Sofia Björkman. The exhibition
runs parallel with "Also Known As Jewellery" featuring work from 17 french jewellery

Åsa's large silver bowl, made for her "A Body Of Work" exhibition was aquired this
week by Röhsska Museum for their permanent collection. At over 2kg in weight this
piece is impressive in more ways than one and we congratulate Röhsska Museum
on the wisdom of their purchase.

Opening on 27th Feb.- 23 March the exhibition also includes an open seminar
where the exhibitors talk about projects they have done abroad and how it has
influenced the direction in which their work has taken.

The Swedish-Finnish jewellery extravaganza "8+8" opens on the 19th November at
The Finnish-Norwegian Cultural Institute in Oslo. Åsas work is well reprisented among

129 people from the neighbourhood, each contributing to the finished piece.The making
of Community Bowl #2 can be seen on film or in real life in our hostage display window

The Schoonhoven Silver Award exhibition opens this week at Pinakothek Der Moderne
in Munich. The exhibition is open from 25th September until 15th November and
shows work from an international selection of 52 metal artists.

The main attraction at Stockholm’s Kulturhuset this summer will be "Sakernas
Tillstånd", a major event showing the work of fifty craft artists. "Sakernas Tillstånd"
gives an overview of some of the major players of the last two decades. It also
highlights the most exciting talents of today and gives a sneak preview of names to
look out for in the future. The event comprises 3 separate exhibitions with my work
being shown in the "Bilden Av Ett Hem".
Sakernas Tillstånd (The Status Quo) is open from 6th June -13th Sept.

"The Making of RGB" documents the work MADE BY: produced for "Nice 08", a part
of Liverpool's European Capital of Culture event in 2008. Our film will now be shown
at Gustavsgersgs Konsthall in their "Hit My Eye" exhibition. Hit My Eye is a collection
of films shot by craftsmen in order to visualise or document process. Film used in
crafts is a relatively new chapter in this field and can be seen as a move away from
the fascination with the finished object. Hit My Eye is open from 30th of June,
throughout the summer until 13th September.

"Be Nice" Aquired by Röhsska Museum
Röhsska Museum has invested in my sculptural "Be Nice" to be part of their
expansive permanent collection. "Be Nice" for my solo exhibition at Platina and is
currently on show as part of Röhsskas Konstslöjdsalong 2009.
